These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Lumen Family Co. By creating an account, downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Lumen NICU is a mobile app for Android and iOS designed for families of premature and medically complex infants. Features include feeding logs, diaper tracking, sleep, weight and growth, vitals logging, medication records, journals, milestones, photo memories, appointments, an AI care assistant (“Nicky”), and discharge readiness tools.
Lumen NICU reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time without notice or liability.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Lumen NICU. The app is intended for parents, guardians, and caregivers of infants. You are responsible for compliance with laws in your jurisdiction.
5.1 A valid email address is required. You are responsible for keeping credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
5.2 Accounts are non-transferable. Partner sharing is the supported mechanism for multiple caregivers.
5.3 You may delete your account at any time via app Settings or our Delete Account page.
6.1 Lumen NICU offers a free trial and paid Lumen NICU Pro and Lumen NICU Family subscriptions.
6.2 All payments are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. Lumen NICU never stores payment card information.
6.3 Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
6.4 Refunds: No refunds are offered except as required by applicable law or app store policy.
6.5 We reserve the right to change pricing with notice.
New accounts include a free trial with access to core tracking features. After the trial period, a paid subscription is required. Lumen NICU reserves the right to modify trial terms and duration.
You agree not to: violate applicable laws; gain unauthorized access; reverse-engineer or decompile the app; use bots or automated tools; transmit viruses; harass or harm others; impersonate any person; sell or sublicense the service; or interfere with the service's integrity or performance. Violations may result in immediate account termination.
9.1 You retain ownership of all content you submit. You grant Lumen NICU a limited license solely for storage, processing, and display to you.
9.2 You are solely responsible for the accuracy of data you enter.
9.3 Lumen NICU does not sell or use your health data for advertising or marketing.
All app design, code, graphics, logos, and content created by Lumen NICU is owned by Lumen Family Co. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license for personal, non-commercial use.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using Lumen NICU, you agree to the Privacy Policy.
Lumen NICU integrates with Supabase, Google Firebase, RevenueCat, Google Play/Apple App Store, and Anthropic (for Nicky AI). Each has their own terms. Nicky AI responses are auto-generated and may not be accurate. Always verify medical information with your NICU team.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lumen NICU shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Total liability shall not exceed the greater of fees paid in the 12 months before the claim, or $50.00 USD.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lumen NICU from claims arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the service, your user-generated content, or violation of third-party rights.
You may stop using Lumen NICU at any time. Lumen NICU may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, fraud, or as required by law.
These Terms are governed by United States law. Unresolved disputes will be settled by binding individual arbitration. Each party brings claims only in their individual capacity. Either party may bring claims in small claims court or seek emergency injunctive relief.
We update these Terms periodically. For material changes, we provide at least 14 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
